In Loving Memory

There's a good reason for my silence on the blog for the past few weeks.

On Friday, May 3, both my grandfather and grandmother passed away in the same afternoon.

They had been married 71 years, and I can only hope that God just didn't want them to spend a day apart so they went to heaven together that day.

While my dad lost both of his parents in a matter of hours, he said there were a lot of blessings in their deaths.

Blessings of faith, and of love.

My grandfather was 95 and my grandmother was 91. They lived long, fulfilling lives. I'll miss them both very much, but find peace in knowing they're together.

Wow, that's great that they passed together, but as one left behind I can't imagine how hard that would be. Losing grandparent's never gets easier. I will be praying for you and your family.

I am SO sorry for your loss!! I hope that you and your family are doing okay. I can't imagine losing them both at the same time, but like you said at least they are together.
